Frequently asked questions

What are priority credits?
Priority credits let you generate images instantly. They can only be obtained through paid subscription plans and top-up credit purchases.
What happens when I run out of priority credits?
Once you've used all your priority credits, you'll generate images in the slow queue, where wait times vary based on server capacity and usage. Note that AI-powered editing features, such as Editing with AI and Image Reference, require priority credits and are not available in the slow queue.

Do my unused priority credits carry over to the next monthly period?
Unused subscription priority credits expire at the end of each billing cycle, so if you don't use them you will lose them. However, top-up credits are only used after your subscription credits run out, and will carry over to the next period if unused.
Can I generate unpublished images?
By default, all images on Ideogram are published to encourage sharing within the community. However, Ideogram Plus and Pro subscribers can generate unpublished images and unpublish previously published images.
Can I delete my images?
Yes, image deletion is available for Ideogram Plus and Ideogram Pro subscribers.
Can I use generated images for commercial purposes?
We do not claim ownership of your generated images, and you're free to use them for any purpose, including commercial use. For details, see our Terms of Service.
How can I update my credit card and billing information?
Click 'Manage Billing' in the top-right corner to update your payment method, download receipts, cancel your plan, or view your subscription renewal date.
Can I cancel my plan?
Yes, you can cancel your monthly or yearly subscription at any time. You'll be able to use all the benefits and features of your plan until the end of your billing period and won't be charged again after that.
How do I upgrade my plan? Will I be double charged?
Select your desired plan from the list above, ensuring you check the billing frequency. Upgrades are automatically prorated - you'll only pay the difference based on the unused portion of your current plan.
What payment methods do you support?
We process all payments through Stripe, which accepts credit or debit cards issued by networks like Mastercard, VISA, or American Express. PayPal and other digital wallets are not available at this time.
Does the price include tax?
No, prices exclude tax. If applicable, tax is added at checkout based on your billing address. Tax-exempt organizations can select "I'm purchasing as a business" and enter their details. We don't charge sales tax in some regions but may adjust this based on tax obligations. Any changes will apply to future invoices.
Do you offer discounts or free trials?
We don't offer discounts or free trials for subscription plans. Eligible free accounts receive weekly credits when signing in with Google, Apple, or Microsoft; the amount may vary.

Ideogram API Pricing

The pricing for Ideogram API is provided above and is applicable to all Developers accessing and using the API. By using the API, Developers agree to the Fees and terms described herein, as well as the terms of the Developer API Agreement and Policy and any associated Order Form executed herewith. Ideogram reserves the right to update the pricing, including the addition of new models, functionalities, or other features, at any time. Updated pricing will be published on this page and will take effect upon publication unless otherwise specified. Any material changes to pricing will be communicated to existing Developers at least fourteen (14) days in advance via email or other agreed-upon methods, in accordance with the Developer API Agreement and Policy.

Additional Terms

  • Continued use of the API constitutes acceptance of the pricing and any changes thereto as of the effective date of such changes.
  • In the event of a discrepancy between this Pricing Page and any executed Order Form, the terms of the Order Form will prevail.
  • We reserve the right to correct pricing errors or other mistakes even after issuing an invoice or receiving payment. All payment obligations are non-cancellable and fees paid are non-refundable.
